Today 22 Democratic congress people signed a letter demandinggovernment sponsored healthcare for illegal aliens and non citizens. Are youkidding me?  Seriously?  We have many poor citizens in this countrywho have had no healthcare for decades and many of these people are rednecksand country folks.  Why hasn’t anybody lookedafter these folks?  Listen to me, charitybegins at home.  If we haven’t even takencare of our own poor people why should we bare the burden of taking care of anothercountry's citizens?

 

As you know, I am a rule of law guy and I cannot believethat these congressmen and women want to provide healthcare to people thatshould not even be here. They are here illegally; they broke the law…why shouldthey be rewarded?  Man if this happens Ithink all of Mexicowill be coming here illegally.

 

The first step should be taking care of our own citizens; Imean we should be good to our fellow man but what about the Americans who havelived here their entire life.   And if I do something illegal, I get arrested.  Can someone tell me why ILLEGAL immigrantscannot get arrested?  I mean, if theywant to live hear they have legal means to do so.  And now we have to pay for their subsidizedhealthcare?

 

While in college one spring break many years ago I worked ona service project in Appalachia.  I though people in my town were poor, butthese hillbillies were as they say dirt-poor. We tried to help them and build up their houses.  Where were these congressmen for thesepeople?  Why were/are they not a concernbut illegal immigrants are and seem to be more important?  I don’t hear any congressmen talking aboutthe rednecks and farmers that need help. And be sure to know that Rednecks are proud people and really do notwant handouts, they would prefer to work and earn things with their own barehands.  Am I right?

 

OK, I cannot take it any more.   Why is it in this politically correct world you  cannot make fun of any particular group but when it comes to hard working country-type folks(Rednecks) it is perfectly OK?  I mean I am constantly told that I shouldn't say this or that about someone but when it comes to Rednecks the gloves are off.  I mean if I see another comedian make a dumb face and voice and equate it to a Redneck I am going to go crazy.  We should be able to make fun of either everyone or no one.  Am I right?

And yes we have Redneck comedians that make fun of us and that is OK because it is good to laugh at ourselves but when someone who is not a Redneck does so, it just aint right.  Just like it is cool that minority comedian can make fun of his own, it would not be right if someone on the outside of that group did.  OR we should be able to make fun of any and everyone we want to as long as it is respectful and not mean-hearted. 

But why is it OK and noone objects to making fun of Rednecks.  As you know there was that Jeanine Garafalo Lady who called the recent tax protestors a bunch of "racist teabagging rednecks".  Here is a woman who always talks about tolerance and the rights of people to be different but how is it that she demeanes Rednecks.  So self-rightous and so hypocritical!  Am I right?

I think that it time to start a discussion about immigration.  I tell you what---none of it makes sense to me but the solution seems clear.

 

On one hand I get the plight of the immigrants because the ancestors of the Rednecks in America are immigrants.  So I do appreciate wanting to come here and make a life in this great country.  I know a few Mexican immigrants that are working class people trying to make it.  I really do have compassion for these people.

 

But On the other hand, I resent that people come to this country illegally and start demanding things, welfare, and healthcare.  I mean there are people legally here, some of them Rednecks who do not have healthcare.  And as a Redneck I love this country.  It’s not perfect but it really is the best country in the world.  I do not understand why people come here and wave their flag in our faces.  I mean I am proud of my roots and all but I am first and foremost an American.  And that Nancy Pelosi lady is constantly talking about how giving money and help to the illegal immigrants.  What about the poorer people of this nation, don’t they deserve anything?   And when she apologized for not being able to speak Spanish at an immigrant rally---that just did not sit well with me. 

 

Additionally, I have a good friend from Australia who moved to the USA.  Well he had to wait many years, fill out many forms and pay much money to live here and become a citizen.  I do not think it is fair to him.  He obeyed the law and is getting left behind but those who are breaking the law seem to be getting rewarded.

 

The solution to me is simple, we are a country of immigrants so that’s cool that we keep letting people in but we must do it in an orderly way.  Why can’t we get a computer system to quickly and accurately process people from All countries.  And when they get here they should be proud of their new home or they should go back home.  What do you think? Am I off on this one?
